The electronic mailroom of the Borough Authority of Prague 2 is designed for receiving submissions made in electronic form, equipped with a guaranteed electronic signature.  Electronic submissions received through the electronic mailroom that meet the prescribed requirements will be processed by the same processes and within the same time-periods as non-electronic submissions.
Electronic submissions sent to public authorities, the requisite details of which are not regulated by a legal regulation, do not need to be signed with an electronic signature.  These include every-day e-mail communication between the employees of the Authority and residents.

Subject (contents) of a submission
Pursuant to special regulations (Government Decree No. 495/2004 Coll.), submissions may be delivered in electronic form if the Borough Authority of Prague 2 has formal and local authority to conduct the proceedings (Sec. 19 of Act No. 500/2004 Coll., and Sec. 59 of Act No. 141/1961 Coll., as amended); see the legislative framework.

Prescribed format for electronic submissions

1.    Electronic submissions (and appendices to submissions) may only be made in the following formats: DOC (MS Word), in the RTF text format with the suffix RTF, or as simple text (cp 852,1250), with the suffix TXT, or in the Adobe Portable Document Format, with the suffix PDF.  Submissions may also be made in the Excel format (XLS), in the formats JPG, GIF, BMP, or as an Outlook Express message (EML). 2.    By no means can self-executable or compressed files be attached to electronic submissions! 3.    The overall size of a single electronic submission including attachments must not exceed 1 MB.

If a malicious code is detected in an electronic submission received, the submission will not be processed.  If the sender’s electronic address can be ascertained from such a submission, a notice of the malicious code will be sent to that address.
